Rumble Roller
for Myofascial Release.
This is way better than the average foam roller, since you hit triggerpoints way easier than with the regular one.
I love this (love? seems I`m a masochist for saying that) one, it has the perfect size and isn`t that expensive, you can`t break it either!
Car polisher
I`m not kidding, but a car polishing for Myofascial Release, ART and Massage is a secret tool to get rid of pain.
I use this very often, because of my car accident, my neck / trap area is very sensitive and hurts.
There isn`t always someone around to massage your neck, so the car polishing machine is a perfect tool for that.
Get some bands for warmups,
like rows, facepulls and bandpullaparts or to use it for specific excercises as extra resistance. Elitefts and others are probably really good. I don`t use an american brand so I cannot recommend any
Tera band
for warmups,
like rows, facepulls, shoulder dislocations and bandpullaparts.
Cut this one in half and take it to work or wherever you have extra time available to do some bandpullaparts.
Bandpullaparts are a great excercise for your shoulder health and you should try to do some everyday.
Joe Defranco recommends 100 reps each day, if you have shoulder issues.
Tool for blood flow restriction
you can use wraps to wrap your arms, but this was always a hassle for me, so I bought these.
It doesn`t even take me a minute anymore to restrict the blood flow into my arms. I use these on my leg days to get extra volume for my arms.
This is called Occlusion or Blood Flow Restriction Training, more on this soon, or check this article out at

Minimalist shoes
– New Balance MT10
I used to wear Vibrams five fingers for a while, but I didn`t like them in the winter, because you can`t wear socks (or you need to buy special toe socks)
Minimalist shoes arent that good for sprinting, to jog and so on, since your feet adapt to the new stress and people just go all out before that can occur,
but for the gym and especially for deadlifts, it`s a great shoe.
For me this is the perfect shoe for everything in the gym except squatting.
Knee Sleeves
– Rehband retro blue
I still use and love these. You need to buy two!
Measure your knee with a band – sizes are:
S – 33-35 cm
M – 35-37 cm
L – 37-40 cm
XL – 40-43 cm
These don`t really give you extra power like knee wraps, those give you support, they keep your knee joints warm, and prevent injuries prophylactic.
If you already have knee pain, these can help out alot!
A friend of mine has terrible knee pain and wasn`t able to squat anymore without pain, if he wears these sleeves, he can squat free of pain.
They are allowed in powerlifting competitions aswell.
Dip Belt
A muste have tool for weighted chinups and dips, one of the most important excercises to pack on some muscle mass and in getting stronger.
Brute Belt, I would love to get my hands on this in germany. Probably the best belt there is.
Liquid chalk
Chalk is chalk, you need liquid chalk instead of real chalk in commercial gyms because it leaves no stains and dirt.
I use it for chinups, deadlifts, farmers walk, rows and squats, so the bar doesn`t slide.
Powerlifting Shoes
adidas power perfect II
I use the adidas power perfect and I really like the shoe! Perfect for squatting and benchpressing, if you can`t get your heels on the ground.
Wriststraps
Great for deadlifts or heavy pulling movements
and can also be used for front squats to create a handle to grab if you can`t do the clean grip, because of mobility or pain.
Powerlifting belt
I use the Inzer 13mm, which was the wrong belt back then, because for conventional deadlifts, that belt is way to thick.
13mm is great for squats and sumo deadlifts, since I`m doing semisumo deadlifts now, the belt is great.
In general I would recommend the inzer 10mm belt, lever or prong is individual. It`s expensive, but it comes with a lifetime guarantee.
